Designed and shipped end to end
Laravel and MySQL with an editable content structure
Clean, fast, mobile-first marketing site
Overview
Next Chapter helps people with visas and immigration, so their site has to feel trustworthy and be easy to keep current. I handled the design and the full build in Laravel and Blade, backed by MySQL, so staff can manage services, pages, and updates on their own.
The challenge
Off-the-shelf builders are either too rigid or too fiddly for a small team. The site needed to look bespoke but stay editable, and it had to load fast on the phones most of their visitors use.
What I built
A hand-built Laravel and Blade site with a consistent design system, backed by a MySQL data layer and an admin tailored to exactly the content they publish: services, pages, and announcements, managed through forms that match how they think about their work.
Outcome
The consultancy now runs their own site confidently, and the codebase is small and predictable enough to extend as they grow.
Key features
Custom Laravel and Blade front end designed to build trust
MySQL data layer for services, pages, and enquiries
An admin so staff update content without touching code
Mobile-first, fast-loading pages for visitors on phones
